Learning to be Flexible
Have you ever had a plan that ended up looking totally different than you anticipated? I know you have. We aren’t unique in this… it’s just part of life, right?
That’s the story of our farm. Cambre and I had one simple goal: Buy a farm out in the country, raise our kids, and live a quiet life.
The Lord heard our prayers, but His plans took us down a path we never considered.
We never set out to market our pork and sell direct to consumer, and instead of living way out in the country he gave us the opportunity to buy a farm right on a major highway.
There goes our quiet life, right? Highway noise and learning how to market – a skill I didn’t think I’d ever need!
But isn’t that just the Lord?
He places us in situations where He knows we’ll be stretched so we can learn to depend on Him.
And as uncomfortable as it is to live in utter dependance on God, it’s also just what we need.
I hope as our friendship continues to grow, I can share more of our story with you, for no other reason than to encourage you and glorify the Lord.
So today, if you’re feeling stretched to your max, be encouraged.
“…nor do we know what to do, but our eyes are on You.” II Chronicles 20:12
It’s ok to not know every step to take next… just keep Your eyes on the Lord, your heart humble, and choose gratitude.
